Here is mine. Your going in exactly the right direction on the shifter setup. I just welded a perfect plate to cover the hole. Then I just drilled a hole my reverse lights and TC lockup for street use. Here is a kinda far away pic. My car is at my shop waiting on a new tensioner.

Here are some SHITTY pics of the converter and trans. I took the cover off to show you. These are old and sorry I took so long. Your looks really good MM. Good luck with it.

Fixed my leaky valve cover allready Made a mess!

forgot this pic, as good as it looks, ive allready cut off the quicksilver handle in favor of a factory 6 speed handle.. no pics of that yet

nasty, i have the moroso pan, a rossler trans brake, and the upgraded drum and input shaft, i didnt have a core charge, and the price was extremely reasonable from transformance

oh and i run a hughes dipstick set up cuz it was the cheapest available and i bent the top over with a torch to clear the cowl.

I'm not sure you remember after 4 years, but how did you get 4L80 converter to work with 4L60 flexplate? I read something about that 4L80 converters are not centered on 4L60 flex, need some kind of spacers...

The converter company should be able to do this (if you tell them when you order it).

So, I need to tell them I want converter to work with 4L60E flexplate?

P.S. slow67 you are answering so many questions I have, thanks a lot BTW you're one of the reasons I ended up ordering 4L80 from Jake instead of building it locally

No problem!

Yes, tell the converter company you would like to use a 4L60E flexplate setup.

But what are differences in detail between 60 and 80 flexplates and converters?
