removing torque managment?
#2
leave it in i still got mine and ran a good time...it takes out timing between the shifts so it is easier on the trans...it is so fast that it will maybe help you like half a tenth in the 1/4...i guess the question is why do you wanna remove it

i took mine out and it is fun but it is probably slower because the tires will not hook up at all. i am not worried about my transmission though one of the guys at the shop wants to rebuild and upgrade it anyway. in other words leave yours alone.

No TM on my car after the FLT tranny and stall. First thing I noticed was how quick and smooth the shifts were. No more weird noticable loss of power and "Blahhhhh" exhaust sound just before and after the shifts. From what I've read 01-02's will back off up to 30* of timing on the shifts depending on how much torque the ECM thinks the car is making during the shift. Earlier cars have a lot less timing retard in the TM Programing so it is not nearly as noticable. You could have the TM % cut in half. that would still cushion the shifts but not be soo noticable.
If you already have a small tranny problem though getting rid of the TM will seek it out and cause a failure much quicker.
