And I listened to a lot of people on here and got a 3500......I just swapped in a SS4000 if that tells you anything. It's all about what you consider driveable. The 3500 was great, but I wanted a little more. I absolutely love this converter. It is great around town and pulls like crazy at any speed in any gear. I might see the track once or twice a year, but it sure is fun having it everyday. I wouldn't think twice about driving a 4400 if I had more mods and raced more often, but the 4000 is perfect for my wants/needs. Do some research and just remember, a lot of members get a converter and end up stepping it up a size or two after they realize how much fun they are. IMO, a 2500 is a big waste of money. Minimum 3200-3500 for DD. And yes a SS3600 would be a great option, but the 4000 won't feel that much different.

Go back a couple of pages on this forum. There's a poll on your question and more opinions than you can shake a stick at.

I would say get a vigilante stall converter. why, well there stall are awesome and they come with a warranty and one free stall upgrade. I have a 3600 vigilante and 3.42 gears. match your stall with your gear. and understand that its not about big or small cam, stall, or gear. its about the right combination of parts. bigger isnt better. so do a research on combinations. I have seen some basic combinations that produce awesome results. and also lastly depends on if your a daily driver or track only. good luck

i have a fuddle 3400 and it's like i gave my car's tranny steroids i'm sure it'll be quicker the higher you go, but too high and traction becomes an issue for a d/d, and your gas starts to suffer. even with a 3400 i struggle to keep traction below 35.
