I had a similar seeming problem after my Fuddle install.
The apprentice at the shop was told to fill up the trans,
I guess he didn't spin the motor or something because
when I got to checking the fluid (after having similarly
squirrely driving) I found it several quarts short.

you need to shut off code p0757. I swear there should be a sticky for this cause i see this problem all the time and seems im the only one to chime in with the answer. Basically what is happening is the computer is set for the stock converter and stock slip. When you put a stall higher than 3,200 you will set a over slipping code (p0757) which is telling the computer that the converter is slipping too much and sets it in limp mode. You can verify the problem by taking the car to a certain location(you know your area where you screw around with the car) and brake stall the car (you know one foot on the brake the other on the gas) and bring the rpm up to 3,000 rpm or as high as you can with out breaking the tires and hold it there for 2-4 sec. It should set the computer in limp mode and you will loose all the gears but 3rd. To reset it simply put the car in park and turn the car off. Wait like 30 sec and start the car, put it in drive and go. Should have all your gears back.. This test is just to verify limp mode and the need to turn p0757 code off. Certain year cars have a different code for this and i think 98/99's are the ones that are different. Think the other codes to check are p0751 or p0753 or something like that. Do a search for thoes or try and scan the computer when its in limp mode and turn that code off..

cause the car hasnt acted up in 2 days so...idk...i'll try this test and get back to all of u ...if it doesnt go into limp mode what else could it be..would it be the shift sylinoids then.?
