Sounds like the tranny went into limp mode. Do you have a tranny cooler? Maybe it got hot on that drive.

Limp mode=safety mode..I think.

You need a tune.

Basically the PCM sees and error ussually electical and it shuts down. Then the trans by default is in 3rd gear so with a high stall it will feel like its really reving to go , and with a stock stall like its straining

they tuned out the shift points and everything when i got it installed..why would it be happening a week later ..wouldnt it of happened right away?
I drove my girlfriend home and on the way there it did it everytime i stoped..every stop light when i tried to go again it revs up real high and barley moves..then i stayed at her house for like 20min drove back home and it didnt do anything on the way back...this is weird to me...so do i still need a tune or do i need more fluid or a special kind of fluid or what i have no idea ...thanks for all the help everyone...

I personally do not think it has anything to do with the stall or the tune , it soulds like a simple electrical failure, you need to get it scanned then go from there , if its setting limp it should be setting a code even if there is no light on it still may be

I know thi is off subject but do you have some slight vibration with that converter around 3500-4500rpms? Both TCI converters i have owned have had the same vibration...but it goes away when i put the stocker back in...

yeah i have a tranny cooler deffinitly had to get that...i talk to the guy who put in my stall and said it is prolly my up and down shift sylinoids..of course my car did not act up when i broght it to him but after describing what it does thats the conclusion he thought of right away...what do u guys think??..cause i think i'm going to buy the sylinoids...

yeah i have a little vibration, but most is due to the tranny mount...not sure on the rpms though./..
