hmm, something doesn't seem right... but then again I could be wrong. 2.73 gear/3800 stall/and Nitto's.... and you ran a 12.2 n/a with just heads/cam/headers/cat-back at full wieght, cutting a 1.7 60'?

I am interested in this.... post up some average times that you run... and what was the DA the night you ran your best.....

sorry, I am just curious and interested in seeing this.

I think the problem would be the rod bolts, bearings, or some other internal part at that point.... LOL

Its simple, his car does not stay long enough in the 2K RASP zone.. Its all ~3600 and up now.. I noticed my RASP went completely away after my 4K stall..

Got the exact same setup on my car, too bad it came with it so I have no comparison to base the setup to compared to stock.... I've been trying to find a stock Z28 to test drive so I can feel what a bone stocker feels like, because after my turbo stang this car doesn't feel "super fast" but its definately not that far off from my stang if at all.

This is correct and that vid was taken in November of 2005, when I got my best it was in December of 2005 which is why I trapped 2mph higher -1000 DA will do that for ya. On average my mph was 108-109 and 12.2-12.3 launching at 3500rpms. I also have people from the eastern section on here who saw my runs. Car sounds different now compared with the vid obviously (mods done in 06) and it doesn't like a 3500 rpm launch anymore. Even that maxima was louder than my car at that time
Best trap now is 113 in +1900DA and I got it retuned since it would leave the line too soft. I have 2 videos of that if you want to see as well, car wouldn't spin and would still get 1.9-2.1 60's getting 12.5 I have yet to get back to the track after the retune but it looks like the car likes a 2300rpm launch now after my tuner gave me a small demo

Oh yeah and I'm still on the same nittos too

EDIT: Here are the 2 threads when I first posted my runs.

Yeah I got my words mixed up really bad there... I meant to say something else....

If the car ran a 12.2 with stated mods, more power to ya, the thing is a beast.

Thats fast. I hope to get down there with full bolt ons and the stall and tires. lol. Anyway, hey presto_z, what rpms do you get now with the 3.73s on the highway at like 70-75mph? I think gears would be a pretty decent upgrade for me, but I drive on the highway a lot so i wouldn't want the rpms real high.

you should be in the high 11's or low 12's, I did not run as well as roarin8 but i ran a 12.4 in my 3500stalled 2.73 geared z28, have fun.

Yeah 2.73s are tall. When the shop tuned the car, they took it all the way to 170 in 3rd gear
