What temperature are you guys seeing with your TH350 and TH400? Where did you run the temperature gauge to? Thanks very much.

I have the sensor in the pan as well. Mine around town if I'm taking it easy, gets to abotu 150-170 if it's warm outside.

At the track, after making 4 passes in about 20 minutes leaving off the transbrake every time it got up to about 220, but that's as hot as I've ever seen it get. (I let it cool for a while after it got to 220)

I think the CSR carbon shield I have on it holds some heat on it too, but I'd rather have that there then not.

I put mine in the line coming back from the cooler... So I can see how well my cooler's doing... Havent done much with the trans since installing it, but driving around it takes a long while to get 150* temps... Once the fans kick on it drops to a temp below my gauges range fairly quickly.

What side of the pan do you guys tap? Do you put it towards the front or back of the pan? Thanks

I would think that having it "T"ed in the exit line of the tranny to the cooler. That way you would see the operating temp of the tranny as it exits to be cooled. This is the way that my tranny shop recommended on my 4L60E and it showed a much more accurate temp than in the pan where I had it before. My justification for believing that is that the temp gauge would rise much faster when I was hard on the trans around town or at the track and then the temp gauge would cool off much quicker when I got it on the highway.
