i get it now thanks

Tighter is better on the street because of less slippage. However, "loose" means different things to different people. Some people think a 3400+ is too loose for the street, while others feel like a 4000 is bearable for DD.

quick question for those who have had the vig or the yank 3600. what gears did you have and how tight was it on the street? like stock or a little more loose?

I run the Yank SS3600 with a 3.73 rear and it honestly drives just like stock in traffic. I wish that I had gone bigger, possibly a 4000, but I do plan on spraying in the near future, so I'm gonna stick with it. Overall its an awesome piece.

Absolutely, those two things alone made my decision clear. Without that warranty and re-stall policy they would have been equal.

Yank now offers a 3 year warranty. That's a great deal!

I mean where do you ship it to, i can't find the address anywhere. Does it matter if you've had it for over a year?

Would this be like someone who has a M6 that thinks 4.10/56s are streetable in comparison?

I'm new to the LS1 game for the most part and definately new to Autos. My last car was a 5 Speed Mustang GT and I had 4.30s in it

I find it interesting that shops always recommend Vig. Is it because they sell them and Yank sells directly? If they recommend Yank, they make no money.

So both are great. Question is. Vig3200(3600 real stall) vs Yank SS3600. 60s, daily driving looseness, shift extensions. Those that had both please comment. I had 4.10s and a TCI 4200 stall in my other car and I got used to it so I think I'll handle the looseness of a 3600 stall.

We have had a lot of cars with Yank converters drive through them on our Mustang Chassis Dyno. One customer with a GTO went through two of them. As a shop owner, if you have too many problems with one brand, you just can't afford to keep using them. Bob

Which Yank models seemed to give you problems? I know in the past the ST line had some issues. I agree if someone gives you constants problems you stop using it.

It's like a popularity contest with these converters. Every year it's someone different.
