Default reverse input shaft and a spring set

Do I need to replace my reverse input drum. And should I try to straighten out this spring set or get a new one, I used a press on it and didnt have a large enough seat on the spring.
Thanks

I would check that reverse input drum with a straight edge. If you can see day light in the center of it, throw it away. The spring cage was from the low and reverse correct? I would definitely replace it. I have plenty of cages laying around and have new drums in stock if you need one. I replace a lot of parts in my rebuilds so I keep a pretty good inventory. If you need something let us know. Vince
