Default drain plug on 4l60e tranny

that i seen/know/read/heard there is no drain plug correcT?

can i just buy one locally and drill and put one?

for those who have, give details where you got your plug and pics if possilble please!!

can i drill on the bottom of the pan? or has to be the side?

Used '02 Silverado pan (+/- a year or two, they quit putting
drain plugs on some time later).

I think there are add-a-bung kits but nothing like original
equipment. Plus you can run the deeper filter.

Or buy an aftermarket deep aluminum pan. Most have a drain plug in 'em and you get a couple extra quarts of fluid.

got a universal drain plug from pep boys...drilled the hole used the supplied washers and plug and you are good to go...
