I have the 3600 and i LOVE it. I use my car for a daily driver as well and with just my mods (see sig) I am running 12.4's. I endorse it fully. Yank is the best out there in converters IMO and their customer support is second to none. During my install I had a question, called them up and while I was on the phone the guy walked me through my issue step by step like he was standing next to me.

As far as the shot... wait for someone with more info on that part, but I figured I would throw in my two cents and kudos...

I just got a SS3600 put in my car about a month ago and the car drives great for a DD. It only takes about 2200 rpms to keep up with traffic from a stop, so it wont hurt your gas mileage too bad depending on how heavy your foot is. And most importantly, the car screams at WOT. And im pretty sure that the only place to buy one new is from Yank directly, but i could be wrong. Good luck and you won't be dissapointed with your choice.

I gained a full second on a 100 Shot with my SS3600 over a competitors 2000rpm. This converter really loves nitrous and I would say is deffinatly DD friendly.

Here were my results

Previous Converter was a trailblazer 2000rpm unit. Stock LS1 Intake & TB

Best N/A pass
13.55@104MPH 2.05 60'

Best 100 Shot pass
12.59@114MPH 1.85 60'

---------------------------
Converter Change to Yank SS3600 as well as added BBK SSI Intake & TB

Best N/A pass
12.94 @ 108MPH 1.81 60'

Best 100 Shot pass
11.60@118MPH 1.57 60' (Wheels Up!)

Best pass to date
11.27@122.43MPH 1.57 60'

The Yank SS3600 provided me with a full 1 second decrease in ET on a 100 shot. The truck also 60' 1.57 on STOCK suspension with the addition of Comp Eng. Slide-A-links, The battery has not been re-located either.

Good for DD and dropped me from 12.78 to 12.38 when I was stock internal. No other changes made.

+1 for a DD. I got this converter a couple weeks ago and i drive my car everyday and it is no problem at all even in traffic. Like stated above it just takes about 2000rpm or a little over to easily keep up with traffic.

You will definitely need a cooler. If you have a few extra bucks to spend I would get the cooler with a fan. It will drop you another ten degrees. If you dont have one already, I would also get a trans temp gauge. You would be surprised to see how drastically adding an aftermarket converter changes the trans temp. A deep pan is a good idea but not absolutely necessary. It kind of depends on where you live.

Gauge, Cooler w/ fan, and Pan (if you can spare the money). The cooler the better and if you dont have a gauge you wont know if you are burning it up or not.

I didn't believe it was such a great DD converter until I owned one. There really wasn't much of a difference from stock.

DO IT, DO IT NOW!! good daily, good gas mileage if you lock the converter at 45, rocks on motor, rocks on spray.... decided yet? Yank it and get off quicker!
