TC and driving in the snow

I have an 02 SS A4 with 3.23 as my DD - completely stock - I was thinking of adding a TC - but I live in Canada and drive in the snow - only snows for 3 months a year. I have winter tires (Blizzak lm25 255/40/17) and have never had any problems driving my camaro in the snow with snow tires. I have the stock size tires for summer 275/40/17

I was thinking of getting a Yank TC - somewhere between 3200-3600. Is this a bad ideal? The last thing I want is a car that can't be driven or is spinning out all the time. Does anyone drive in the snow with a similar stall?

I have driven in the snow with my 3500 stall and drag radials. The stall actually helped with the take offs as long as I eased into it slowly. You should be fine just take it easy.

Just get decent tires and drive like granny. It should not be a problem, might actually drive easier.

My stall(only a TCI 'breakaway' 2800)helped the take-off driveability in the snow as I no longer have the 'positiveness' of the OEM convertor.

I drive my car in the snow too with a 3600 stall. Drives better with the stall than the stock converter because you can more gently take off from a stop.

I could not even get out of my subdivision.... I guess it could have been the crappy ES100 tires. This was with only a fresh coat of snow about 1" or so. Good thing I dont DD my car. It would be to freakin scary in teh winter!
