Keep the Vig3200 or go put in the PYE 3800
it will be a nitrous car with a built trans and either of the 2 converters. heres what i know now:
vig3200- a great nitrous verter having a flash stall of ~3800 yet has a lower STR of 2.0. cuts very good 60' for full weight cars on nittos or et streets. it uses precision's #6 pump. it works better on the gas than its big brother the vig3600 which has a flash of ~4300, and runs the good risk of over revving getting up in the rpms that quick.anything else worth commenting about?
PYE3800 - a new product from yank designed for a power adder such as nitrous. will have a flash stall of ~3500 on motor and only achieve ~3800 on the gas. has the higher STR of 2.7. havent heard about what its consistantly 60'ing but my guess is 1.7 unless you can top that with premium traction.
i have the opportunity to use either one as the PYE300 is on the way from a trade, but have the vig3200 sitting up at the shop. the only reason i took it out is because i broke all three of the bolts connecting the verter to the flexplate doing a 80 to 120 punch and now it needs to go back to precision for external repair (welding, bolt extraction, helix coiling). just really curious as to which one would work best in conjunction with s2 heads/cam, built 4L60E and moser 12bolt using 3.73s. i appreciate any insight you have and information perceived.

I agree with Ragtop. A 100 shot is not much. A 150 starts to get you leaning toward a more nitrous-built converter. 175 shot and up demands a converter with more holding capacity (like the larger Pro Yank converters).
I only run a 125 shot, so my Pro Thruster works just fine.
