Best MPH converter
Street or Track?
Patrick G, step in please.(has had every known converter for an LS1)
Can we assume you will run drag radials?
I also have MACS with ORP, TB, pulley, lid, D/D exhaust on an 02' Firehawk.
I doubt another converter will trap much higher than that. The 60ft. times on these runs were 1.82

Shouldnt the "SY" series have a killer MPH.
Though in all honesty, the "TP" series has had the best of the best MPH numbers.

The SY 3500 has killer efficency because of the blade angle. To stall it to 4000, Yank reduces the blade angle which brings its efficency down a bit. On the other hand, Yank takes a YTP 4400 and increases the blade angle to stall it down to a 4000. That takes a converter with good efficency and makes it even better.
I went to a 4200 to split the baby; a bit of extra stall at the track relative to the 4000 and a little more efficency from a roll than a 4400.

BTW, it kills the SY3500 when racing from a roll.

The Yank will be pulling hard the last half of the ¼ and will out ET and out MPH the vig and win the ¼.

A TP-4400 will do all the things your talking about doing, easily out 60ft the Vig and run more MPH.
The Vig isn't a bad converter.. the Yank Thruster Pro is that good.
BTW: My Formula gained 6 tenth's with the addition of a TP-4400 and 26x10.5 ET Streets. 12.67 to a 12.07. That was at 1700 miles on the OD and stock manifolds & cats, little more than a lid and MAF ends.
He who gets there first wins,
I have the sy3500 and the top end is niiiice and up-shifts extend out to 4500 rpms. No track times yet.
I picked this 3800 up from Ryan K. on this board and I am in love with it.

Both are loose and killer from a roll.
