A$ 2-3 shift...bouncin off rev limiter....too much
The only other thing I can think of is simply tuning, but the 1-2 shift is great.
Anyone?
If you have more power you can run up the RPMs
faster and maybe "leave the trans behind". That
is, it may start thinking about shifting at 6000
but by the time it makes up its mind you're up past
6200, boink boink boink. Set your rev limiter for
reliability and your shift points for clean shifting.
A programmer or shift kit is probably going to help,
if you're putting out a lot of power a shift kit is
probably wise.
Do the MPH shift point modifications stated above. That gave me a crap load of ET once I got that right.
Couldn't go past 12.54. Once I programmed the PCM right, dropped 100lbs, added a FTRA and Hoosiers, I ran 12.009.
