no second gear?

no second gear? hello im fairly new to this place and just recently got a 2001 ws6 . it has 21000 miles on it and i think im missing my second gear.. i drove it into first and it wouldnt shift till about 3400 rpms just on normal driving. then i put it into second gear and it feels like it is barely catching. i realized something was wrong w/ my car when i was just messing around in town and my car started to bounce off the rev limiter like mad. ok so i put it in second and it doesnt catch too well. then i put it into third and thats working out fine. somone said it may be the vaccum resonating valve but im not sure. i think i might just be missing second gear alltogether
Well assuming this is a 4L60E second and fourth are bothe the BAND , Hows does 4th feel . The band could be burned or the servo seals or accumulator damaged also . Please give a more detailed descriptio of what happens when you take off in the overdrive position at moderate throttle through each gear

drive.. when taking off normally will shift from first into second but then second feels like its not catching whatsoever it just revs up kinda like i was in neutral then i get to third gear and that catches so it feels like second gear just went out on me.. and for "raise" i dont believe it has a stall in it im not too sure because i just bought the car from the dealer on tuesday so ive only had it for one week.. any input will help . thanks guys

Check the 2nd accumulator . But a failure to make second should result in first When you are describing gears are you talking about OD position auto shifts. Also bear in mind if you have the car in second some cars will start there and that will feel sloppy slipping like

i think my 1-2 clutches are slipping from my drum. or atleast thats how someone described it to me. manually shifiting first is fine.. when i put it in 2nd its just slipping like mad and barely moving just reving. then i put it into third and that feels fine also. then drive is ok . but any time my car goes into second its just reving up

also what do you guys think could have ruined my second gear?. all my car has done is full exhaust with no cats 3'' pipes all the way back. and ceramic coated headers. and a slight tune that makes my shift points shift at 6250. my car only has 21xxx miles on it. just kinda curious why it went out so easily
