Default converter install

i've bolted up the trans to the motor... right now i just sinched up all the bolts, can i bolt up the converter to the flexplate like that?

or do i need to pull the trans away from the block a bit....?

Do not pull the trans away from the engine you may unindex the pump and break it, What is sinched?But yes the converter should turn freely if all is well and you can put the bolts in , Be sue to pull the converter forward then put bolts in do not use the bolts to pull the converter forward

thanks for the response.... synched/snugged - just ran the bolts in all the way.there is no room between the bellhousing and the block. that's the way i should have it to bolt up the converter right?

Thats correct , It also should have been easy to turn the converter to alighn the bolts .

yea i haven't even gotten that far yet... i just didn't want the trans hanging on the bolts, so i ran them all the way in and tightened them until i can get another chance to work on the car.
