2-3 shift is delayed under full throttle

I have a 4L60 with a transgo shift kit and a Fuddle 4000 converter. My problem is that it delays shifting from 2nd to 3rd under full throttle. Under the nitrous it is really bad. The tranny is tuned to shift at 6800 rpm from 2-3. I thought it was the valve body plate because the checks ***** had worn into it some. I repaired the valve body plate and it still does the same thing. Any suggestions?
What RPM are you wanting to shift at, You have to bear in mind though the electronics are instant the trans is mechanical and it taks a moment to move clutches and servos into place, Typically depending on the shape of the trans you will need to set the shift point from 150 to as much as 500 rpm before your actual desired shift. Two thing affect this, Shape of trans and of course the amount of power your making if the RPMS are climbing faster the elapse will be more since reguardless of how fast the RPM are climbing the time it takes from comand to actual shift will be a constant,

The problem lies in the tuning. In my experience with high stall converters the shift timing must be tailored to the combination. It is not unheard of to see a shift command set at 5800 - 6200 rpm, depending on the setup, for an engine that limits rpm's at 6800-7200. Obviously the gear ratio and tire size must be taken into consideration.
Also, it is highly recommended that a window switch be used when spraying on a 4l60e transmission... not wise to spray through shifts.
I am sure your tuner can work out the bugs. You will find it can prove to be difficult to get it just right. Some combinations respond to small changes in shift timing programming changes while others do not, they require coarse adjustments. That is my experience.

Thanks for the info. I am not spraying through the shifts but the tranny still delays even without the nitrous on. It is pretty bad too. I bet I am losing some serious et waiting on this thing to shift. It feels like it noses over and right before the limiter and then it will shift. The limiter is set at 7200 rpm.
take out the #7 checkball and capsule and replace it with a cup plug...the cup plug from a 41te chrysler tranny works perect it the onle for the park pawl shaft....it will make 3rd snap shift no more laggy

Leave in the checkball capsule that sits behind the servo in the case. I take out the cup plug that others have installed, and put the stock checkball capsule back in. If the 3-4 clutches are in good shape, then the 2-3 feed hole in the separator plate can be enlarged to .110" without any side effects. This should help some if not solve it. If you make it larger, then there are other things that need to be done, otherwise you can get a 2-3 flare on the WOT shift. The addition of the Sonnax second gear servo can help the 2-3 WOT shift too. But you should be able to solve this with using the stock Corvette style servo, and working with the 2-3 feed hole. Sometimes it takes several modifications to solve this without taking apart the transmission, again as long as the 3-4 clutches are in good shape.
