Follow the bottom line out of the radiator. That is the return.

the lines aren't connected to the tranny... I need to know which goes where on the tranny itself...

Thanks for the reply though...

The pressure line goes from the top of the trans to the bottom of the radiator, and of course the return bottom trans to top of rad. The pressure line is identified by the fact that the line has TWO high pressure fittings where it goes from the line to the hose and then hose back to line at the front of the vehicle. remove the top line from rad. to run into trans cooler. And yes, I just laid out under the car to verify. Good-Luck.

Charlie.

OBSSSD, check your lines, maybe there are differences in the years, although I doubt it. If you take the bottom line off and start the car, you will notice fluid pumping from the line not the radiator, making this the pressure line, hence it has the pressure fittings on both ends of the hose / line connection. Unlike the return line from the top of the radiator which has ONE pressure fitting from line to hose and at the radiator side but from the hose back to line (working towards trans) it has a tension clamp.

Good work, CAT3, I looked all through the Helms diagrams and couldn't find it.

Anytime I can help I will. How about this, anyone have a slight surging when idling in gear but not park/neutral (maybe it is too slight to notice then?)? I checked EGR/vacuum leaks-changed plugs and will change wires friday, but anything else? posted in external also. TIA.

Charlie.

Yup, I got that surge. I notice it more when the weather is hot.I think it has something to do with the MAF sensor. I say this because a couple of years ago, I bought the SLP Temptricker module and all of sudden the car was surging very badly. SLP said they had never heard of that problem before but they took the part back and gave me credit anyhow. (Thanks SLP) I got a call from them a few days later and they asked if I had home ported my MAF ends , which I had. The best they could figure was that the increased volume of air was messing with the sensors. Who Knows? Maybe this is what your problem is, if you have a ported MAF?
