Default transmission problems??

First I know this is a LS1 forum. I do own one but also have a 95 Camaro 3.4 v6. I didn't know where else to post this problem.
Today I notice a problem when I start to accelerate it does not go in gear right away the engine revs up high then it jumps into gear. This happens when I going from stop. Once the car is running and moving it does not happen is this a transmission problem or something else??

Yes based on your description of the symptoms it is a transmission problem.

The reason you would want to check your fluid level is that the pump will starve if the fluid level is low. And it will exhibit the same symptoms.

Does the transmission leak fluid?

It's like if you have a Standard Trans and you rev up the enigne and throw it in gear. I don't know anything about Trans but does it have a clutch like a Standard Trans but Auto.

Sounds like you have one of the following. A bad forward clutch, cracked forward piston or a broken forward accumulator piston.

Well if it does indeed have an internal failure the correct fix is to completely recondition the unit. That can run anywhere from $1,400 - $2,400 depending on how the build is specified.

Feel free to give me a call today, I would be happy to help you determine the condition and explore your options.
