*Which converter is best?*

*Which converter is best?* It has to be a vigi converter since I have a free restall. It's a head/cam/full bolt on F body! It will be STRICTLY a motor car! What stall would net me the best e.t.? I'm lookin for 1.4 60 ft. times, right now currently have 3.42 gear but will upgrade to 3.73 within a few months. This is in a TH350

I would recommend the 3600..it is really a 4400 but, hey, it works.

thats weird???? I have a vigi 3600 converter and the most i have seen it stall to is 3800 rpms off the line. why does everyone call 3800 rpms 4400 are they trying to make up for their 4400's???? :p Re: *Which converter is best?* [quote thats weird???? Because a number of people have measured the true stall of the vig 3600 and gotten about 4200 and sometimes higher from it. I've seen the Vig 3200 stall frequently to 3600 - 3800, too.

Re: *Which converter is best?* I hear you Lynda... if you had a tranny tricker or another of the myriad ways of testing the true stall of the verter (PI3600) you would see as others have the higer than 3600 stall of the PI3600.
Not thats its a bad thing.... it probably help some of the heavier cars get moving.... and lowers thier 60's.
BTW, that is in bolt on cars as well the more modded out cars.
