Don't waste the money on a 350 if you're wanting to go that fast. Get a 400.

A buddie of mine has his car running 9.70's @ 135 mph on motor w/ a th 350 and never had any problems. I wonder how much power a th350 will take before it starts having problems? Thanks for the advice

i have also seen several th350 cars with big blocks and 2 stage nitrous running single digits in the 1/4 without any problems, most of the parts inside are not stock though

Thats the whole point. You end up spending more than its worth building one that will hold up. Its not cost effective.

Theres not to too much that can really go wrong with them also they are pretty bullet proof .. Thats why i put the 350 in mine, also saves weight i believe over the 400..

Thats one reason why i want a th350. My buddie has one in his cam only car and i love driving it. He has been 10.30's on a 150 shot.

A th350 is a great tranny due to its light weight and it robs less power than a th400. I've been running mid tens in a 3500lb. Chevelle for many years with one. If you are looking for one to buy, I'm about to put a 4l80 in my car so I'll have it up for sale along with a vigelante converter soon.

I would ask the buyer if he would like to have it freshened up. Providing you have a good shop near you before selling it.
