P1860 = Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid- circuit malfunction.

It has been set because of the new converter most likely.
You mentioned that the engin eis running lean and then dying out but yet there is no DTC stored relating to this. How do you know it is running lean and causing the dying condition?

Specifically what happens when you drive the car?

When the PCM detects a continuous open, short to ground or short to power in the TCC PWM solenoid valve circuit, then DTC P1860 sets. This is and electrical code. Check wiring harness to touching exhaust or being pinched between bell and engine. This may also be related to your lean or engine cutting off condition.
