Yank SS3600 Help...
Going to put in the order for a Yank SS3600. I wanted some feedback from folks running a yank SS series as far as street manners and if anyone is still having issues with any "shutter" problems. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have a SS4000 and love it. I went to that from a ST3500 and felt very little difference in every day driveability. The difference was in WOT. Very tight verter around town and I have 3.23's. Tuning is a must....felt like a whole new animal after the tune compared to before. I have lock-up disabled in 3rd gear since mine wanted to shudder at lower speeds. It locks in 4th at 40 MPH+. You'll love the SS3600.

Ive been running a 4000ss converter for 3k now. I think it feels very loose even with the 370 gears. Its great on the track and in any racing situation. The 3600 should be perfect around town and at the track.

Thanks to all...I will be getting the tune, deep tranny pan and a cooler along with it. Also having true duals put on to the bumper. All will be done by the fine folks at SpeedInc. here in Illinois. They are truly a great shop! Gave me a much better deal on the whole verter install than other shops in the area...
Will have a used GMMG for sale in September. Watch EBAY if interested...
Again, thanks for the info and feedback...

I tuned a buddy's car with the SS3600. Before we started, he would get shudder when it tried to lock. After tuning, smooth as silk and ran like a scalded dog. We also tuned his car not to lock in 3rd gear, it's just more fun that way.

Sorry for bring this post back to life. But i've been interested in both the SS3600 and the
Vig.3200 converters. I thought i had my mind made up, but i'm glad i used the search button. How can anyone say they had shudder issues with the SS3600 then say they just got used to it. A high dollar part should not shudder under no conditions. I thought i remembered little issues like this, but when i emailed Yank they said to me they never heard of any issues. Well thats a little deceptive from such a stand up company. It surprises me that people had shuddering and didn;t return it. I would be concerned about it cause premature tranny failure. Man this bites. Well like a guy told me today, just to stick with a Vig. since i had one in my WS6 and didn;t have 1 issue even when i added a 125 wet shot. I trapped over 127mph with the N2O. My converter didn't slip or miss a beat. And i kept AutoTap running to keep an eye on tranny temps. They were in the 180 degree range on the N2O run, so i dont think it was slipping that much or not at all. Man i bummed out..lol. My luck bites..everytime i like something, i gotta hear that there's some issue. I know its a small issue, but for the cost, shudder and lockup issues shouldn't be an issue. Oh well thats racing.
