Default Damn Verter

I am STILL trying to get this verter bolt out and I can't. It is the last one and it is stripped. I have no room to get a drill in there and back it out....My dremel isn't charging so I can't grind the head off, and it doesn't even seem like there is room to do it. Is there enough room to get a drill in there to back it out?

Try backing it out, with some pressure applied to the other end
(if the bolt hole is not blind) - a little "pill" of steel rod just long
enough to stick out 1/4" from the converter flange, and a pry
bar to it against the trans case, to force it back out as you turn
the head?

I have been able to get stripped bolts to back out by putting a
knife edge against the head & seating plane, levering the edge
into the "crack" and turning. Wedges the head up as you go.
Might try that with an expendable kitchen knife, a skinny long
bladed one.

You could also use Vise-Grips and pry out against the jaws as
you turn. Want serrated jaws with a good grip, for that. It'll
be slow but as long as you keep a grip the bolt will follow the
force.

I don't see how you don't have enough room, if you have the bolt rotated to where its in the hole from taking the starter out. If you have a welder you can try tacking a bolt head onto it.

No enough room to fit a drill I am asking. Obviously if my welder was working I would have a socket tacked onto it, but it's not aha.

Well, when I got my TCI, the new bolts were bigger and didn't fit thru the flexplate. I needed to dremel it out a little. I suggest you grab a working dremel you'll probably need it anyways.

There might be enough room. I just ask my husband my tranny man so he would know. lol or he said cut the head bolt off with a dye grinder
if it comes to it you may need to take the tranny out and leave the verter connected to the flywheel but then you still have to cut the head bolt off just the hard way lol i hope i helped and wrote what he said right
