I just bought one for a 98 LS1 and had the holes redrilled for the new convertor.

I didn't know you could bolt up a 700r4 tailshaft. Is that true? Isn't the output shaft of the TH350 shorter?

I have a buddy with a 3rd gen that took the TH350 and bolted his 700r4 tailshaft on it. Uses it to hook up his stock TA. Works fine.

Bought a stock LS1 flexplate and drilled extra 3 holes for the 6-bolt hub on the Yank converter.

The TH-350 has different tailshaft lengths. 6 in. 9 in. and 12in. With the 9 in tailshaft it is the same length as a 700-R4.

I used my stock flex plate from my 2000. Turbo 350/400 converters are available with 2 different bolt circles. The smaller of the 2 will bolt up to the stock flex plate without redrilling any holes.

I will be using the 9" tailshaft. I also will have a 8" TC. 3800 on the brake and a little bit more on the gas. I guess ill have to elongate my holes on the flexplate then. They almost line up but the holes need to be brought in a hair. Guess i can do that then.
