tranny pan?

quick question, do the 4l60e and 700R4 trannys use the same pan?

They do have the same bolt pattern. If you have and early 700 pan it might have some fitment issues on a 4l60e. The issue was that the solenoids would hit the pan. Also when the 700's first came out they had a pan that was not flat on the bottom and had ribs. I do not believe that this pan will fit a 60e or a 700 with the later filter. Man now there is some history. Bad old memories. Vince

I believe most deep pan aftermarket units fit both.

yeah i was looking to get the "derale" deep pan with the tubes running through it to cool it, i have one for my th400 on my race car, but they only offer a 700r4 one not a 4l60e one thats why i wondered.
