ok with the mods in my sig what stall and brand do ya ll recommened i wanted to go with a 4000 stall but is that too big for a weekend car??? im also going with 3.90 gears... any help will do thanks in advance!

 

depends on how you feel about drivability and the converter brand and how tight it is. We have some customers runng our 4000 who say there very sreetable.

 

A 4000 stall for a weekend car is no biggie. I like the Yank YTP 4200 based upon your needs. Hope you're getting some tires to go with the combo.

 

I am using the SS4000 with 3.73's and this is a very nice combination. I use this for my daily driver and pulls like a **** at WOT.

 

ive got a 3800 and stock 3.23's. so far so good, pretty tight imo, feels like letting the car out in 2nd on a stock stall

 

yea im gonna get some drag radials so she can hook hopefully, she does, well i was wanted to try performabuilt converter but yanks 4000 seems good too to many choices to make!!

 

Yank SS4000 is the way to go.

 

thats the one i wanted to go with but i couldnt pass up a brand new tci ssf3800 for 250

 

Yank SS4000 here with 3.23's and I feel that it's pretty tight. I will be upgrading to 3.73's eventually...but it meets my needs now and I love its performance.

yea i got a great deal with a fuddle converter so im gonna look into that if all fails i think bout yank i just want a good converter thats gonna last me a good while but like i said they only way to find out myself i apprieciate all the helps guys do any of yall have vids of ur launches??

 

If you want a good converter buy the Yank. Thats all im going to say.

I have the Yank SS3600 in my Camaro which is my DD and I love it.

 

did you ever drive the car before the tune after the stall was put in? I just installed my Yank PE 4200 and it is very loose and i was wondering if the tune help's this out any?

 

gears definitely affect a stalls loose/tight feeling as well as torque available.

 

where i get confuse is when ppl say i lockup my converter in third so i can get good top end can someone explain that??

 

This is when you enable the the lock-up clutch and take the inefficieny from the converter. You will need a multidisc clutch to do this without wearing it out. This can net 10-20 rwhp depending on the converter.
