Default 4L60E Cooling lines

Holy ****. how the HELL can you get those things in?? I've loosened the tranny brace and i still can't get those 2 lines to go in.

Any tips or tricks?

They should just push in. Are you sure that the clips were installed on the fittings before you installed the trans?

not sure of it at all. They have the threaded end that goes into it, which is where im stuck. its such a tight squeeze to even get the lines up there, and I dont see anyway to get a wrench on them to tighten them up.

Let me ask you this question. Are there fittings in your trans that you are trying to screw the cooler lines into? If you have a way of posting a pic it would help me to see what you have.

yea it was the ones that screw in at the top.

I finally got them but good lord it took FOREVER

Do you have the push in style fittings or have the been changed to something different? What year are you working on? Or do you have fittings that are on the lines and the case?

it was the 2 lines that thread into the top of the tranny. it took me a good hour to get them bitches started and threaded in all the way. you abrely have any room to work and get a wrench on them is the problem

sounds like instead of taking the c-clips out he unscrewed the fittings out of the transmission altogether.

That's what I was thinking. Their in is really all that matters. I wish that I had a picture to see or to show the different possibilities.
