Trans tail leak?!?! WTF??
So I pick up my car from the paint shop today and the painter says I have a serious leak. I was like....hmm...thats news I will check it out when i get home. I prop the car up on stands and climb under to find that the tail section bolts are ALL loose. Any idea what could cause this?
The car is a 1963 nova with a 4l60e and an LS1. Previous owner might have left them loose is all I can think of.
Do I need a gasket between these two sections? Gasket maker? is there an o-ring in there? They were not coming apart but the bolts were very loose. any help/direction would be great! Thanks!!

Do you think just tightening up the bolts will stop the leak? I did that and took it for a quick spin...I will check for leaks in the morning. Let me know what you guys think. I really appreciate the fast replies. Thanks again,
