A super servo will not help. Looks like it may be time for a rebuild.

It could also be some minor things... how many miles are on the transmission?

i have 55k miles with about 4k on spray. i read in another post though that most transmissions do slip in the cold. not noticable when warmed up. i ordered the supper servo just to see if it actually works for shifts. might not help for cold slipping though.

could be burnt clutches or a burnt band... That's what I had and I haven't used any nitrous either.

I have basically the same question... My tranny is starting to slip at WOT on the 2-3 shift. It does not happen all the time, but it is enough to notice, and it really sucks when you are running someone and hit your rev limiter with an A4. What could be the possible problems? Thanks.

They will slip if they are low on fluid too.

If the fluid is black you are in trouble.

A few years ago we'd change the fluid in a buddy's much abused big nitrous setup... It was black and we used BM hot/trick? shift and it helped it out for a while.

I don't think it would be my fluids because I just had a shift kit installed, so all of the fluids were replaced. Phantom, do you have your MAF ported? Reason I ask is because someone brought up in external engine that porting the MAF on the A4 can cause weak line pressure to the Tranny... That has me worried because I did a home port on mine and I'm wondering if that could be the problem.

It seems like you guys need tranny rebuilds. Make sure you get aftermaket clutches in there when you do rebuild it.

Also be careful because you will eventually lose your 3rd gear altogether and you will have to drive in 1st and 2nd gear only.
