Getting converter..what to expect???
Ok i am purchasing a 3600 converter for my 99 Trans Am (check sig for mods) what can be expected power wise.....am i gonna have good races from a roll and if so at what speed. Is the usual M6 gonna leave me from a roll still? sorry all the questions im really excited about it.
You will probably have to get some drag radials to make those tires stick, a converter will give you a big E.T. drop...and also fry street tires...
Races from a dig are going to be tricky with a 3600 stall without sticky tires.
Running from a roll will depend on which convertor you get and how efficient it is.
I am happy with my Vig 3600, But on 315/35/17 drag radials i am still spinning very bad out of the hole, recommend e/t streets or something like them.
Good luck and have fun with your convertor (once you get it)

Someone correct me if im wrong but isnt a vig 3600 really going to stall to about 4000 to 4200 rpm . wouldnt he want a little more tighter converter than that with a different stater from a roll. Just a guess here.
That alot of stall for the mods you have. I have a vig3200 and I have a few more mods than you do and I think its plenty of stall. A 3600 will be overkill unless you get a cam and some head work.

Kansas....i wanted to get the bigger stall cause i do plan to keep this car for a a while and do have big plans. ex. LT Headers, pulleys, MTI tuning, 75 shot, maybe a cam but that will be last.
