Default taking off the transmission..

Ok Im Gonna Take Off My Transmission This Weekend And Swap Converters.. What Extenstions Do Ya Ll Recommend And What Advice???

Patience and lots of extensions and good swivel sockets and some PB blaster or better pay someone to do it you will be much happer in the end and you wont even know it

at least 4ft in extensions 13 an15mm swivel sockets pry bar a helpful friend and like mentioned lots of patience! i'm in the process of doing mine right now

Dang it guys, you forgot ONE major essential... PLENTY OF BEER!!! No but seriously be careful, take it slow, and make sure that you have a good jack that can jack up quickly... I had to use one that moved about 2 mm per pump and it totally sucked... Also as everyone has said the swivel sockets or a universal... Maybe consider an impact but make sure that it's seated well and use the squeeze and release method... Goodluck... I'm stabbing mine in today after having to pull mine out yesterday (th400) and cut the bellhousing off for the JW... I did it by myself but it totally blew..

thanks guys now i kinda got an idea of what tools i need.. how many quarts of tranny fluid do i need? also how much to put in the tranny

Drain and fill 5.o quarts

overhaul 10.8

I would put 1/2 or 1quart in your new verter too.

7 or 8 quarts keep checking over the next week or so to make sure u have the right level.
