Default stall acting weird

so i got my ss3600 in, and i noticed then when im rolling at lke 10 or 20 mph and i whack it it goes in like 3rd gear for a second or even 2, then itll shift to first.. at that point im goin like 25 or 30. I want it to shift down instantly when i whack the pedal. But when im goin 30 ish and i whack it, it shifts down on command. What can this be from?

Possibly, mine really doesn't do anything to that nature w/o a tune, but every car seems to respond diffrent. It could be big brother TM kicking in trying to save the trans.

Very true I have seen people put in 4000 stalls and get away with it and then anothr poor guy put in a 3000 and have to jump through hoops with the tuning.

Get that tune correct before you hammer on it too much at all.

I have seen more than a few units go south after converter swaps, cam swaps etc. and the guy just continues to drive it when it is not shifting correctly. That is very detrimental to the longevity of your transmission! Do not let anyone tell yo any different, seen it too many times personally.
