Ram 6130 Installed..I
have to say I'm not to happy with it at all. I installed the 6130 along with the 402PP and mccleod adjustible master. I also bought a new 02 slave and throwout bearing along with a new pilot bearing. The pedal pressure is insane, I have to basically stomp on it to push the pedal down(aka the leg press). If I knew it would be like this I would have kept my stocker. I only have about 50 miles on it so far and no chatter though. Those with this clutch is this normal? Will it ever get easier to push the pedal down? If so did you get used to it? This is my daily driver and I will have a cam soon, so I need something maybe more streetable. What are my other clutch options?
It might get easier, but I am not sure. My Ram 402 plate definitely takes a good push to get the pedal to the floor. Good luck and you shouldn't have any chatter problems. I never really did.

I have had mine for over a year now and 30k miles on it. Either it got alittle easier or my left leg got stronger. I drive my car every day. In fact, I changed the disc to a 910 disc since the 6130 was melting to the flywheel and pressure plate with the nitrous oxide.
I got a futral adjustable master and a ram 980 disk, its a tiny bit harder then stock, mabey you need to bleed your master some more or adjust the master

I'd have to agree with the assessment on the master cylinder. I'm running the RAM adjustable master with my 910 disc and it is only slightly stiffer than stock - still easy to push in. Pedal pressure is virtually the same as the OEM clutch/master in my ZR2 pickup with NV3500 (fwiw).

since the master in the mcleod runs a larger cylinder to move more fluid, you lose some mechanical advantage making it more difficult to push the clutch in. Either try a modded stock one (made adjustable) or the Futral one which will make is more stockish in feeling. I run the 402PP with a modded stocker and it feels GOOD
I run a Mcleod Single Disc with Mcleod Adjustable master and updated slave, and I had a Cartek Adjustable master on it before, and there was absolutely no difference in petal pressure between them. They both are as easy as the stocker was to push in. I got the adjustable cartek sitting in the garage doing nothing, if you want to try it out and see if it fixes your problem let me know. It functions perfectly. Shoot me an email mbrown@scannerx.com if your interested.
I ran the 6130/402 setup and peddle was hard as hell.Tried a modified stock and Mcleod master, still hard as hell. Finally melted the PP to disk at only 1500 miles on them, while driving spirited on the road.RAM had great customer service and sent me a new clutch.I sold it as soon as I got it and bought a Mcleod kevlar/organic clutch.Been holding great(30 passes so far),peddle close to stock.
Maybe there are some poorly setup 402 PP's causing this?

I have the 402PP and its only slightly firmer than stock (I made my own adj master from a stocker). I had a Mcleod master back in the day and it made my clutch STIFF.
I'll be a cheerleader for the Mcleod Single Disc! I bought mine used from Chris ARE 360 (he had a ton of track passes on it already SLICK PASSES, I saw the video's) and I made well over 100+ passes on it, including about 10+ full bottles passes (100HP SHOT) on it and god knows how many street races. Made 33 passes back to back @ reynolds ga and it didn't slip once. When I put my new motor in the shop said that one of the spring tabs on the disc had a small crack in it (Mcleod said they'd replace it for free) but I just opted to buy a new 110.00 Kevlar one(since the old one has been abused a lot and needed to rest) and put it in instead of the organic and i've put about 30+ 12 second passes on this one and it's holding just as good as the last one. Oh yah and I put about 35K miles on the first used one, and about 10K on this one already.
I'm not saying that the Mcleod is better than any other brand, just sharing my experience with my single disc.
