No plate here. TH400 2.75 first gear and tranny brake. No problems here spend you money on something better.

Terry, if you get the 1/2" plate you will need to shim your converter 1/2".

still have yours Tom?

after talking to Mike at yank it sounds like a good idea being the trans will flex on brake launches.

after talking to Carl Rosser when I picked up my trans it sounds useless. Carl said most racers leave out the top bolt anyway for ease of removing the trans...

I decided to sell my adapter plate. It's sold.

If your drive shaft length is made for NO adapter plate and you decide to install the adapter plate then you may want to check your drive shaft length too.

I use a stock 4L60E Plate with my Phoenix Pro Converter. No shims needed. Bolts right up with correct end play.

Yes.
No.

I'm pretty sure my top bolt is missing anyway.

I'm saying I don't *think* the people that were usually pulling my engine and tranny ever bothered with the top bolt but I'd have to ask to be sure. I know they didn't reinstall the top bolt when they installed the Yank 2400 in my '02. We found that out at TCI when we installed the 3500. Not that it bothers me.
