Would using 3.73's,a transgo, and Buying EDIT to tune be a good investment. And how much improvement could i expect. Also would i be hurting my daily driving too much? thanks

that is a good choice if you ask me. i got 3.73s in my A4 and i drive like 60 or more miles a day. so it wont hurt your daily driveability, trust me. ive heard that ls1 edit is bad ***. but i already got the hpp3. what you are goin with is a good choice.

Nice choice. I have 3.73s in my C5 tuned with LS1-Edit. Depending on what you do with your tuning, you may find you don't need the kit. I didn't want to spend the money since I'm planning for an FLP (if only the stocker would just die.)

thanks, ill be getting edit first, then gears and if i feel the need for it i might go ahead and get a transgo, i really dont want to mess with a converter right now, and i read a thread about 3.73's in an auto and some said yes, no, get a converter but im just gonna get gears , i can always change setups in the future when i get heads,cam,nitrous....ect.

I am running 3.73s and a ST3500 in my C5. IMHO this is a great combo from a stand still(with DRs or et streets) or from a roll. I had my PCM reprogramed so their was no need for a Trans Go shift Kit. The driveability of this combo is great with awesome performance.

the higher gear ratio the slower you are going on the freeway (top speed)
gas mileage sucks too

I'm with Ragtop99. Buy a good convertor first. You'll be much happier with the results. Much more performance gain in a convertor vice gears.
