I have a Performabuilt Stage 1 and it is great. Shifts great under WOT, and is a great daily driver.

i know its still a little early on the 6l80e/6l90e swaps, just wondering if the trans itself is similar in size to a 4l80e? i will be going with one of the two in the near future, although with the 4.03 first i will have to get rid of the 4.10s and get 2.73s!

Since I first started this thread the 2009 and 2010 Caddy CTS-V has TAPShift capability with the 6L90E behind the supercharged LSA with a Gen IV PCM.

This the same tranny that John Heinricy, the former director of GM Performance Division, did his historic sub 8 min run as the fastest production 4 door sedan on the Nürburgring.

Default Any change in opinion on the 6L90E??

It has been a few more since the intro of the 6L80E/6L90E and I was wondering it there anyone out there has more experience with this transmission and/or change in opinion as to using this tranny in big HP/TQ LSx applications as opposed to the tried and true 4L80E.

This tranny as certainly proven itself in the last couple of years. I read that when John Heinricy made his historic run sub 8 min run at the Nurburgring in 2009 the supercharged Caddy CTS-V he didn't even manually shift it he just put the gear selector in D and went for it.

So I liked my pb tranny. Now if they only made a built 6l90 for my mast lsx 454 it is rated at 800 hp. Does the weight of the vehicle affect it's torque limits. My car weight is 3654
