Default tranny problem/question

ok ever since it got cold, whenever i go WOT from a low roll or dig on the 2-3 it will bump the limiter 2or3 times... well i thought it was my tranny takin a shyt finally.. but if i go WOT from a higher roll where it doesnt kick down to 1st it shifts fine.. i think its spinning a lil bit and causing the issue, what can i do to stop this? its never done it b4 it got cold. can i get the tune changed to drop the 2-3 shift 50-100 rpms? i know alot of tranny experts browse the forum often and was just wanting some help..thanx

I would try lowering the 2-3 shift pont a little first and remember when fluid is very cold its a little thicker so it could take a little longer to make the shift when the solenoids vent and also bear in mind in colder air you make a little more power so your RPM may be coming up a litle faster.

thanx man sounds good. i always wait until the tranny has a lil heat in it first (at least 120) b4 i go wot... i figured with the tranny being computer operated and comanded to shift by rpm and mph, that the spinning in first would thow it out of wack and cause this...because sometimes it will shift out of first early when i spin real bad. but ill try lowering the rpm a lil on the tune..what you think 50 or 100 rpms? and thanx alot on the help..

my car doesnt make eknouf power to need a glide..maybe a th350 one day but i would need a 4.56 gear and a 5k stall with a glide...
Start small 50 rpm and a few MPH is what I would do and work from there. But dont let it bounce the limiter too much on the 2-3 as its hard on that clutch set

ten-4. i know its on its last leg..with close to 90k on it (stock tranny) and with about 20K with some sort of stall in it (fuddle 3200 for about 10k and a yank ss3600 for 10k too) so i want to save it for as long as i can thanx again
