Tranny Leaks from the Fill Point
Hello All,
I am having an issue with my SS, more particulary my Tranny and was looking to see if anyone else had this issue or know what is going on. I would greatly appreciate any info.
First off, some background on the vehicle:
2000 Camaro SS
Automatic
62000 Miles
2nd Owner
Not a track car
Here are the issues with the SS: The car will not idel, it immediatley dies as if the battery is dead. So I replaced the battery thinking that this was caused by my amp and subwoofer draining the battery. But after closer inspection there is a Transmission issue. After reving the engine a little... steam and a small amount of fluid seem to pressureizing and spewing out of the Fill Point (where you refill the tranny fluid).
Last time I drove my SS you could not feel any hickups in the tranny or anything out of the ordinary. I had originally though I Blew a gasket or the rear seal after seeing the fluid on the driveway.
I plan on taking it down to the local Les Schwab next week. My question here is what does it sound like the cause of this problem is?
TIA
