well thats the whole thing, i havn't put it in yet(i am waiting to finsih my 9in install and the guy doing it wants to put lock wire bolts on the ring gear which is taking forever) and i have yet to hear about another with a SS and the Kevlar clutch. I am interested in if it acts any different from the Carbon clutch.
Well, then spill the beans. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> How's the SS3800E feel so far, given that I'm sure it has not had a hit of the go gas in the winter time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

the E stands for Extreame. It jus signifies a Kevlar cutch instead of a Carbon one and 6-bolt mounting nuts instead of 3.

My SS3800 is still doing fine. I drive it everyday and really don't have any complaints.
It is on the ragged edge of looseness for me, but that is me, not the converter.

Sorry as it may sound, I have only been to the track once with the headers, 3.73's, and SS3800 in the car. I had to run on my BFG DRs, so getting traction was challenging.
I only went 12.61 on a high 1.8 60' with lots of wheelspin. When I get my setup straightened out and my 17" ET Streets on the car I think I should be able to go low 12's.

I've had my Yank SS3800 for around three months. Zero problems. No track times yet. (Now even longer after this 24" of snow.)
Awesome converter. Have around 1500 miles. Traction will be a huge problem. Going to get some ET streets before the track.

I have an SS3600, it picked up consistant .15 over the PI2800 that it replaced. The car runs 12.0s all day and had a best of 11.91 @114.41 w/1.68 60' on stock 2.73 gears. Its an 02 Formula with Hooker LTs,ory,Borla,lid,skinnies,2.73 gears and BFG drags. Best with PI2800 was 12.14 @112.71 w/1.75 60'.
