Need Tci and midwest converter times!
I need help. im trying to decide between midwest or tci converter! I want something that is going to give me something like a half second. so please if u have one of these please let me know some times before and after the install or just telll me the gain! Thanks it would help so much!
We ran the 3000 TCI with headers,y-pipe, and lid(we installed all these parts at the same time) we got a 8 tenths drop from one week to the next in the 1/8 mile in the heat of summer (from 9.0's to 8.20's),not saying that you will see the same results, but I sold the converter to a friend and his car dropped a solid half sec. in the 1/8 mile. I think you would be very pleased with the TCI,hope this helps.

Im trying to decide between the streetfighter 3000 and Super Streetfighter 3500. Those of you with the 3000's, did you feel like you could have benefited from the 3500 , or would it just have made you spin more ?
I would go with the 3500,it is a great converter good drivability and great performance.I had the 3000 so we ran it until the 3500 we ordered came in.
Where is the best place to buy the 3500. SDPC has the 3000 for $429, but they dont seem to carry the 3500. Also, what brand trans cooler do you guys use. A buddy of mine has some radiator looking things about the size of a trans cooler. We were thinking about mounting one behind each of the 2 holes in the front grill. Seems like it would work awesome, nice cold air and not blocking anything from the radiator.
99,
You can get the SSF3500 from Trevor @ Texas Speed and Perf.,Scoggin Dickey, Jegs or Summit.
I'd go with the 3500 over the 3000 stall...It's worth another .1 in a 3.23 geared car or even more in a 2.73 car.

I agree with kevin the 3500 is a better buy but you must also count on buying some nice stickeys for your car and i dont mean drag radials. My drag nittos are very fussy with my small 3000 tci cant imagine my car with a 3500 tci. On the spray forget about it until about 4500rpm just blows off the drag radials.
