Different internals for V6-V8 4L60E?
Just after some info on post 98 4L60Es'. Other than the bell housing are there any differences between a stock V6 and V8 4L60E? Clutches, band width etc.

Depending on the year the internals are essentially the same the BELL os different as you mentioned but the input shaft is also diffferent and on the LSX models the pump stator is different, The V8 camaro would also have a corvette servo where the V6 would not. Thats all the info I can give without knowng the years of everything

The pump stator is a different length than the V8 ls1 type its theoutter shaft you see sticking out the front of the pump. This and the INPUT shaft would need to be changed in ourder to run the V6 trans in the V8 along with the bell housing. Other than that the sevo in the side would need to be swapped.

Thanks mate. I'm not looking at swapping them, just trying to settle a friendly debate with a fellow enthusiast.
So the V8 box runs the same clutches and number of steels too yeah?
