bmr th400 trans x member is JUNK!!!!
trying to install my bmr th400 transmission crossmember. this thing is a piece of crap! the holes are off, I will have to drill and weld just to make it usable.
should have just modified my stock one. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

That's suprising.....Mine fit almost perfectly....I had to SLIGHTLY grind the tranny mount hole about 1/8" or so to get the bolt to go in but other than that everything lined up perfectly. Give Brett a call I'm sure he will take care of you. What exactly is wrong with it is it just not lining up at all?

I had to cut out and drill 3 holes and the mount hole was off too which required drilling.
after 2 hours of grinding drilling and welding I have it lining up <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

I bought the YANK x-brace it was a perfect fit for me, bolted right up in 60 seconds.
Sucks when you have to modify stuff to make it fit <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

i have to agree w/ terry99ta on this one. i got the bmr powerglide/th350 mount and the holes were also off. the place for the tranny mount was a little off too. had to drill and trim in certain areas. expected more for my $$$.

Terry,
Just out of curiosity are you running the yank adapter plate on your motor? If you are that is probably why they werent lining up at all. Just wondering.

Will,
No, not using the yank plate.
after emailing bmr they may be refunding me, I will post the outcome. I asked them to refund half and let me keep it since I finally got it to work after welding and cutting it.
