A4 Electrical Tranny Problem?
This post is for someone else:
What can cause the transmission to jump from 5000rpms to the rev limiter between 1-2 shift and the 2-3 shift. Tranny has been rebuilt, has been Ls1Edited and TQ management is gone.
HELP!!! This is for Toxic Texan (Josh).
Thanks,
Craig.

Kevin this post is for me. I think the problem might be a misfire. Maybe it is a bad plug wire or it could be one of coil packs are going bad. The car doesn't flare it kind of stumbles at aggressive acceleration. It did it a 5000rpms I got of the gas and it shifted. It is a weird problem and at first it seemed like a tranny problem, well the tranny is rebuilt again and it still happens. It started right after some engine mods where the valve covers were removed and a cam installed. Any help you could give me would shorten the trouble shooting process. I am taking it back to MTI on Tues. so Jayson and I can find the problem.
Thanks,
Josh

Ok coming into work I got on it some and it does seem to flare or something. I think my shift points are 6100 and rev limit is 6500. The thing is it shoots up from 5000rpms to 6000rpms and then I let of of the gas and it shifts. I have been tryng to figure this out since Oct. of last year.
Tranny got rebuilt and line pressure is stable. It seems to be only during aggressive acceleration. It happened after the headers, cam, oil pump and timing chain were installed and Ls1edited. (is that a word?) Now I see Modsquad has maybe the same problem.
hey toxic, does it work perfect cold say the first mile or so? Having the trannie just built is no guaranty that it has pressure rise. secoundly stable pressure sure isn't what you want, you need immediate, and responsive rise.I'll bet you hang a gage on it take it down the road, drive it ...mash down on the pedal you'll see your line pressure go away at about 5000-to 6000 engine rpms. It'll come back at say 4500- 5000. If your tranmission is flareing it's slipping, if it's working okay on the lower rpms, normaly its an internal transmission problem.I'd be interested to see the line rise.Nothing inside the transmission will work without line rise. (line pressure) hope this helps you.

Tranny guy said the pressure was fine. I am not a tranny expert so I gotta believe him when he tells me that. Fluid level is good and it happens right from start up. It doesn't flare anywhere but 5000rpms and above and getting on it.
