I have a Vig 3200 and trying to learn how much to brake it up to at the track. What RPM is the best to make it flash really well? Thanks for any help! Check Sig for Mods!
I had a friend who had this converter...
It really flashes up to like 3800, but I would try a # of different things, try footstalling it until the point to right before the tires want to break loose....try just flashing it off the line, no foot stall, you really have to play w/it to get the best launch....you will know when you get it right..
Also invest in some Et streets or Hoosiers...

Hold it at 1500 rpm then nail it. On a stock motor I ws able to pull 1.60' times and pull the front wheel consistantly. With heads and cam you should be in the 1.5's. Make sure you have some suspension and tires.
Please tell me if I'm wrong here, but why would you only want to hold it at 1500? Why get a higher stall
when you can launch the car at that rpm with the stock converter? Doesn't that defeat the purpose completely? I launch my car at the track at 1600rpms
- right at the threshold with my stock one. Why get a higher stall if you can't take advantage of it?

I leave at 1100 rpms with my vig 3200 this was the same rpm I was leaving at with my stock converter I went from 2.0 60 ft times to mid 1.70's. hope this helps
You get the best 60ft letting it idle and stomping it but if u preload the suspension to about 1300-1500rpm it hooks a little better. I spray my vig 3200 out the hole with a 200 shot and it flashes almost 4000. It is a very good converter for laughing gas and doesnt suffer alot of loss running all motor either. If you have enough tire try launching it out the hole at idle ull get a better 60ft hope that helps.

If you stall it too high it will smoke the tires. Off the line at like 2mph your taching 18-1900 rpms. In a car with a 3500 you will be taching 3500-45000 at the same point. Much more power up there. And then theres shift extension. When you hit 2nd your rpms drop to 3400 or less. Mine drop to about 4600 after shifts, and dead spots like 40mph-Ha! What dead spots. Punch it to the floor at any speed and the Ls1 is screaming. All this with no miss shifts and really fast ones-Cant beat it

How hard to launch from the line with a loose converter has more to do with the track prep, then the stall of the converter.ost of these guys go to tracks that a 4000 converter with bias ply tires can cut 1.7 60's. At my track, I stall mine upto 3200 rpms and cut low 1.7s (high altitude track). No one on the internet can tell/show you how hard to launch your car at your local track, this is a trial/error thing. Just experiment with more/less stall until your 60' start rising again. Then go in the opposite direction. Once the 60' drop, keep going in that direction.
try 1100 to 1500, that is what my Vig 3200 liked and I stall my Vig 3600 around 1500 also and it seems to work the best. Are you going to be out again this Sunday?

I`m not going to be there Sunday. I`m working nights this weekend. I just ordered my E/T streets tonight. I`m going to try and have my cage, Draglites and E/T on for the last weekend this month. I need to pratice one more time for Spring Break Shootout! I wish I could go!
With 3.23s-3.42s leave at idle for best 60fts. If you have 3.73s leave around 1000 rpms to take some of the shock off the tires with the lower gears.
NA with my 3600vig I left around 1200-1500 roughly with the same results.
1.58-1.64's on nittos consistently
with the cam i leave at 1800 to take the shock off my stock rear. The closer to idle the better I have always done though. Recently pulled a 1.55 cam only with 3.23's
