Default What kind of TC is best for street?

I'm looking for the best Torque converter that will still leave me the decent gas mileage my baby gets me. What brand does everyone suggest and at what stall?

Well, the big 2 here are Yank and Vigilante, so it all depends your needs, im running a SS4000 and its really streetable for me, even untuned, perfectly fine...

But the overall choice for what you want should be the Vig3200... What kind of gears do you have?

Well, the direct answer to that question would be stock - since you didn't mention anything about better performance

I offer an 11" that is a little step above stock, about 28-3000 stall. Hardly noticeable while cruising, but helps on acceleration. $350. I also offer a 9.5", Stall "2C" that is very street-able. Stalls about 3200. More performance oriented, billet front and piston - $700

Circle D has you on the right track for what you're looking for. Yank also offers an 11" 2800 & 3000, and then the SS3200.

Another option is the TCI SF3000 which is a 10" converter and thus lighter than the 11" versions.
