Default Yank PT4000/4L60E Owners Jump In Here

I've got a PT4000 Yank Converter arriving in a week or 10 days and I'm looking for some input.

I'm running a Moser 12 bolt w/3.73 gears, making
417 RWHP through an A4, 233/239 Cam, TSP 5.3 Heads, Stock Bottom End.

I tune with HP Tuners and am interested in:

What are good shift mph/RPM shift points?

Are there any tranny tweeks recommended for lockup behavior, crisp shifts, overall tranny performance?

Any shared knowledge would be appreciated.

Shift extension on that convertor is 5800-5900 and Yank (Dave) says you need to run 800 over that so that puts you 6600-6700 minimun. It is why they recommended the SS series to me. I have stock 98 rodbolts and don't wanna spin over 6400.

Yup.
First, I raised the part throttle shift points. You can try this for starts, applying it to all TPS in the row:
1-2: +2 mph
2-3: +3 mph
3-4: +4 mph
4-3: +3 mph
3-2: +2 mph
2-1: +1 mph
Next, I went out with HPT and had TPS and mph display on the guages. I would experiment with how much pedal I wanted to give it before the converter unlocked or having it downshift. looking at the screen I could see the conditions that needed more work. I'd make a note and do some more driving. I found in town that I raised 2-3 much more than on the chart I put above and kept 3rd gear lock-up low. Second gear for a long period, then into 3rd and quick lock-up. Not much looseness. 4th gear upshift I raised more too and then immediate lock-up.

Nah, I have mine set to shift the 1-2 at like 6k and the 2-3 at like 6300 or 6500 and it's fine.
