Thumbs up quick tranny question.

im going to be getting the level 2 tranny from performance built. with the 2300-2500 stall. my question is do i need to install a tranny cooler? any answers would help thanks guys

With that little of a stall.. I would say no.

is that stall too small for a stock motor.

Most all will tell you to get between a 3K to 4K stall... Especially with a H/C car.

If its free, then why not install it.

oh dont get me wrong im going to install it. but if i go with a H/C setup which stall would be better the 2300-2500 or should i replace it with a 3600

If its a DD, I would do a 3200. Any bigger will just kill you MPG. I know it does on my 4K stall. But, mine is not a DD though.

Some guys say to go with a 3500, if you do, get some 3:73 and it will help. But, you will lose a little RPM on the highway but it will help with taking off.

yeah 3:73 are on my list also. IF i Put 3:73 with the stall im going to get? will it be a good setup or no??

No problem...

The main thing that contributes to bad gas mileage is keeping your foot off the gas. With a higher stall, it seems that its either WOT or nothing. LOL

yeah your right i cant wait to order my tranny. I havent really got on the throttle since my tranny slips at high rpm.
