Had a yank ss3200 before that performed nicely. Heard lots of good things about Circle D, so ordered a Circle D +2C converter couple weeks back to go with my level 4 FLT tranny which I await. I will let you know how the setup goes.

Well if it helps any, we recently took our 2000 Camaro SS out to the track to run it in street trim just to see what it would do. It has all the bolt-ons and a Circle D 4C. The air was pretty good at -550ish DA. I left the 17" Nittos on it hoping it would at least try to hook. The first pass down the track it went a 1.66 60ft and turned 11.87 in the 1/4 mile. I uncapped the cut-out and it went a 1.65 60ft on a 11.82 pass. I was pleasantly surprised since it was just like we drive it every day and had 3/4 tank of gas

The 4C does everything we could ask for and more. It is extremely strong from a roll and would like the bottle should we ever stay into that department.

Have not tried a CircleD so cannot comment about them at all.

Yank pushed me away several years ago with a very brash attitude when I inquired about their converter. After seeing Mightymouses success with them I felt like I would get their converter anyway and deal with the attitude. Upon ordering the converter I was treated very well and told that customer service was being improved and indeed it was!! When I felt my converter was too tight, I sent it back..no questions asked and Dave got it set just like I want. A turbo car takes a few tries to get right normally and they were great to work with and I now would highly recommend them. Here is a vid using the Yank....4000# raceweight....3000rpm launch with a 3.08 gear....1.47 60'. The converter will do MUCH better but the track wouldnt hold it that day if i launched any higher.

SS3600 here and it has been great!!! Delivery was exceptional about a week...

I'm actually going to send mine back to be restalled to a SS4000 or possibly a PT4000, but I'm not sure if the SS can be changed to a PT style....

Anyways... Yank supporter here. But to be honest; I'm sure Yank, Circle D, and Vig are all great converters. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the three...

Funny because when i called Dave talked to me for atleast 15-20 minutes. Didn't feel like that at all. On another note, you can't go wrong with either. Both great converters. I just chose to Yank it and get off quicker.

I'm bringing this back from the dead......

Vig 2800 = 12.40 @ 110mph N/A - 10.62 @ 128 N2O

Circle D 4C = TBD

GIR Icebreaker is March 20th. Hope I have the new converter in by then to see what it runs N/A before swapping to ported heads. I hope to see 2 or 3 mph and .2 or .3 in the 1/4. The vig 2800 is too tight for my cam.

How different are your LS1 and LS2 converters? I'm just curious since some time in the future I might be replacing my LS1 with a LS2. Would it just stall a little higher rest being the same or will I need to send it in for some re-work. Or maybe that re-stall will cover the conversion?

I have a ss3600, with 26 et streets i pull a 1.82 60ft
My bro in law has a ss4000, same setup pullin a 1.70 60ft
Same track, same night
the 4000 wraps up like crazy and the 3600 pulls tight in 2nd gear, feels like your gettin in the boost.

Those 60' aren't impressive imo. I've cut high 1.7 with a vig2800. I'm hoping this new converter wakes my car up.

I ran an Edge 3200 and a SS4k currently and both did exactly what they were supposed to.

I'm on my second Yank 3600 here. Nothing wrong with the first one, (9") it just wouldn't bolt up to my new motor so I sold it to a very lucky buddy and it now resided in a 98 SS. I'm now running the (11") so I can tow with it too, that comes in handy some times in a truck... No issues what so ever. My first 3600 took a full second off my E.T. Havn't had the new motor to the track yet but will be going real soon.

Happy Circle D owner here.... I was in the same spot as some here... it was a toss up between Yank and Circle D. Nothing against Yank but they just seemed too "off the shelf" for me so I chose Circle D..... when I ordered my Circle D I spoke with Chris, emailed him my dyno sheet with all my mods, and he built a converter for me based off that. First off the converter is a work of art... just how its built and the look of it.

The best part.... my first launch with the car was a 1.56 60', this was in a 3850lb car with a 4L80E FIRST runs down the track after swap from a M6. Whats even better is these were off the foot brake.... and the following runs were 1.55, 1.54, and 1.55 60's. Talk about consistant!

I havent even used the trans brake yet.

Strange!! Yank builds each converter to the customer needs we do not stock converters in house!
Every one is Custom hand built! and have been building performance converters one at a time for over 20 years.
Thanks for thinking about us.

You are correct, it would be the same converter, assuming you are keeping the same transmission. It would just stall higher from the extra power. How much extra power are you planning with the LS2 swap?

Never really understood someone who has a product that is doing what its intended and people change companies anyway. I guess their is no consumer loyalty anymore.
